Whatever your native culture is, mental health is important. Our lives can be challenging and unpredictable, full of surprises, good and bad. Because of life’s unpredictable nature, knowing what fuels every situation can make things less complicated. Understanding life as an energetic situation when it comes to mind and body can better prepare you for life’s twists and turns, rather than allowing your energy to run unchecked

Hopefully after reading this, you will be inspired to further educate yourself on the more subtle side of life when it comes to the body and its energy. I’m not a yogi or a mystic. I am someone who is daily experiencing life from the human perspective. That being said becoming more aware of what is actually painting the canvas of my perception has given me more of the ability to participate rather than float through life allowing my energy to run unmonitored.

WHAT IS KUNDALINI SYNDROME

Kundalini is a word used in Eastern culture, mainly Vedic, to represent the energy that is considered to be the life force. This force is said to be behind our emotions, creativity, and many other aspects of our conscious life. Kundalini is said to be lying dormant at the base of our spine and is released by an event or lifestyle practice that causes a great rise in energy. It can be encouraged to rise by spiritual practices like meditation, yoga, and chanting. Kundalini can also be released by a traumatic event or extremely stressful situation.

Kundalini syndrome is brought on by situations, positive or negative, that cause a big release of energy. If the individual is not ready for this rush of energy, there can be adverse side effects. One’s mental outlook has a big influence on how the energy manifests itself: a positive outlook can result in a pleasant reaction, whereas a negative outlook can result in an uncomfortable reaction. The Kundalini energy is said to be the creative energy of the universe. Taking this into consideration, our emotions are powered by this energy and are easily swayed by the conversation we’re having with ourselves daily.

KUNDALINI AND THE SUBCONSCIOUS

The subconscious mind is the part of the mind that is said to be the keeper of the information that makes you who you areFrom intuition to knee jerk reactions that feel automatic, the subconscious essentially reproduces past conditioning. However, this conditioning is not set in stone. With time and patience, the subconscious can be conditioned to bring out the best you in all situations and the release of the kundalini energy allows you to access deeper layers of the subconscious. More energy means more access. The kundalini energy is a sort of highlighter when it comes to past traumas and attachments, which act as blockages. This can make the mind unstable and restless, especially if it’s something you have a negative or attached perspective ofHowever, change is possible if these attachments are worked out and the energy is given the opportunity to travel new tracks laid in the mind through daily practice. Your efforts must be aimed towards encouraging the mind to accept a new, positive perspective you desire. This will allow you to move on and transform your opinion, giving way to a mind that is calm, focused, and peaceful.

KUNDALINI AND OUR EMOTIONS

In an era where pharmaceutical drugs are increasingly becoming the norm, humans are losing their God-given, natural ability to navigate life. Some problems are organized intentionally by nature to encourage growth. When we take short cuts with the body and mind, we pass up the opportunity to gain strength, wisdom, and so much more. Taking accountability for oneself starts with a good relationship with the mind. The Kundalini energy, when activated, has the potential to increase emotional sensitivity and mental activity as a whole. The rise in mental activity has a way of bringing out the suppressed emotions that are bogging the mind down and limiting the potential for growth. If approached in the right way, while being completely honest with yourself, you can change your emotional response to any subject, especially mentally.

When it comes to emotional attachments, honesty is crucial for progress and resolution. We tend to beaourselves up for things that are out of our hands, especially when it comes to our past. Complete honesty with yourself can help you get to a place of understanding how and why your energy is clinging to the emotional subject. The core reason should be what you are trying to get to the bottom of. Be it unresolved family drama, insecuritiesor fears, the raise in energy is going to highlight it, and it can be daunting or, in some cases, pleasant. This underline, when identified, can be put into a new liberating perspective. The new perspective will take time and consistent effort daily, with things like affirmations that reinforce the new belief about the attachment. Mantras and meditation are some of the tools you can use to reprogram your subconscious to focus on something positive in the present, rather than focusing on the past or things out of your control. Problems tend to have an underline that keep coming up in different situations. Things like insecurities, shame, and fear tend to haunt us or dictate how we respond to perceived similar situations. Learning to use the rise in emotional energy in a productive way is a process that takes practice and patience. Guidance or support may be needed also.

MANAGING THE RAISE IN EMOTIONAL ENERGY

  • MEDITATION: Do a little research a find a meditative process that works for you and incorporate it into your daily life. This is a great way to identify and release emotional blockages while also laying new, positive tracts in the subconscious that lead to a more pleasant response from the mind as it reacts to life.
  • MINDFULNESS: Daily mindfulness may take some effort but the rewards are well worth the investment. For example, being aware of your breathing pattern can help calm emotions. Check in sometimes throughout the day and do a full inhale through your nose, then a full exhale through the mouth. Keep the body, especially the belly, calm and relaxed as you breathe.
  • BREATH WORK: Breathing is key for life in this body. With that in mind, invest some time daily to practices that make you more conscious of your breath, which is crucial for gaining control over the emotional energy.
  • PHYSICAL ACTIVITY:  Energy build-up can be defused through daily physical activities like exercise, yoga, etc.
  • JOURNALING/ARTISTIC EXPRESSION: The creative process can give the excess energy an outlet for release.

KUNDALINI CONSCIOUS LIFE

Kundalini, Chi, or whatever you prefer to call it, really should be taken more seriously when considering maintaining a healthy bodyOur lives are an energetic happening, and our bodies are rated to go the distance given the right circumstances. Energy, when taken seriously within the body, can bring out our better selves. Or in the least, the one we have always known we could and should strive to be. Life is not a competition. Becoming conscious of your energy and maintaining it while nurturing it through daily practices will set you apart from one who doesn’tSelf-talk daily that is not gossip, critical of others, or negative will have a big influence on your energy as far as how your energy and emotions treat you mentally. Negative self-talk is the driving force that shapes how our energy responds to us. Be it a negative outlook or cultural prejudice the energy will cling to it leaving an imprint in the subconscious that is liable to come back around in the form of a negative emotion. The subconscious has a way of enforcing the truth. Something as simple as telling yourselfI have no insecurities” can cause the subconscious to react in a way that shows where your insecurities are. The thing is that if there is any insecurity on any subjects, your subconscious will high light them until you work through them, making your latter statement of “I have no insecurities more accurate over time. The process can be misinterpreted as being an attack by the mind on the self, causing disturbances in many ways. Point blank, the effects of the raise in energy can be misinterpreted, leading to a missed opportunity to grow in ways you did not think possible. The things that are holding us bacaren’t always an external circumstance. Some things can be fixed by a change of mind, leading to tremendous change externally.

YOUR LIFE YOUR PRACTICE

When looking to work with kundalini in a more conscious way daily, the approach should be in a way and at a pace that is healthy and comfortable for you to maintain. Drastic changes aren’t practical in many things; this is one of them. Your daily effort should be one that you can sustain and gradually challenge yourself to encourage further growth. Simplicity is key when it comes to undoing emotional energy blockages of the mind, and I assure you there’s going to be a lot of repeating when it comes to reprograming your mind and emotions. Focusing daily on your talk about yourself and others mentally while becoming conscious of how you’re breathing is a good place to start. Releasing tension of the body, especially in the shoulders and the stomach, when possible, can do wonders for bringing your energy and emotions to a place that allows you to start to incorporate and maintain the increase in energy in a way where you thrive. Routines that maintain and encourage the movement of your energy should be applied daily for lasting change. In the morning and especially the evening, taking a self-evaluation is recommended. The day tends to cause tension accumulation in the body which causes the energy to flow inefficiently, so making sure you have times during the day where you reset and realign yourself and your energy are crucial to releasing any blockages in the system and ensures your mind and emotions are present and not drifting or stuck on the unnecessary.
